Cork House – Sustainable New House & Interior Design in East London
Explore Cork House by Polysmiths — a sustainable extension and full interior fit-out in Newham, London. Featuring cork cladding and a bold, natural material palette.
In response to rising material costs and the desire for a more sustainable solution, Polysmiths delivered an inventive rear extension and full internal refurbishment for a terraced home in Newham, East London.
The project is defined by its cork-clad façade, a renewable, carbon-negative material that gives Cork House its name and unique aesthetic. Inside, natural materials like timber and stone are paired with custom joinery to create a warm, textural living environment tailored to modern family life.
Cork House exemplifies our approach to sustainable design, combining environmental responsibility with architectural clarity and craftsmanship.
