How Polysmiths transformed a modest Victorian terrace through a material-led extension inspired by our client's childhood home in Gibraltar.

Arch House, an East London extension & interior renovation of a Victorian terrace with structural arches & lime plaster.

Polysmiths reimagined this modest East London terrace with a rear extension and complete interior refurbishment, turning a compact home into a flowing, light-filled living environment.

The extension redefined the spatial layout, improving circulation and connection to the garden. Inside, we introduced natural materials, soft curves, and clean detailing to create a calm, tactile interior that responds to the needs of daily life. The arched motif appears throughout — from openings to joinery — lending the project its name and visual rhythm.

Arch House is a reflection of our approach to small-scale residential design: sensitive, inventive, and materially rich.
