Set within a listed building in one of London’s most prestigious districts, this South Kensington art gallery interior was redesigned by Polysmiths to support the dual needs of art exhibition and architectural preservation.
Our approach celebrated the original structure while introducing a contemporary material palette that complements the gallery's purpose. By using subtle interventions—refined lighting, clean lines, and neutral surfaces—we created a serene, adaptable environment for rotating exhibitions.
This project showcases Polysmiths’ sensitivity to cultural spaces, where design must enhance the artwork and visitor experience without overpowering it.
